As Chief Data & AI Officer, Gopal is responsible for shaping and advancing the firm’s enterprise data and artificial intelligence strategy. In this capacity, Gopal oversees the development and execution of strategic initiatives designed to enhance client and advisor experiences, strengthen operational effectiveness, and drive sustainable business value. Key responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, establishing scalable and reusable data platforms, and leveraging advanced analytics and AI capabilities to support informed decision-making across the organization.
Prior to assuming this role, Gopal built a distinguished track record of delivering insight-driven, personalized solutions for both B2B and B2C organizations. This experience included the development of intelligent AI solutions that generated significant operational efficiencies, as well as leading the strategy and implementation of enterprise-wide analytics platforms focused on data consolidation, reuse, and value realization.
Previously, Gopal served as Head of Data Strategy, Governance & Analytics at Fidelity Investments, where he led large-scale initiatives to modernize and consolidate data ecosystems, resulting in substantial operational cost savings and improved organizational capabilities. Gopal’s professional background also encompasses senior leadership positions across asset management, workplace investing, compliance, and marketing analytics.
Gopal is a respected thought leader and frequent speaker at industry conferences, where insights and perspectives on data strategy, analytics, and artificial intelligence are shared with business and technology audiences.
Outside of professional responsibilities, Gopal maintains a strong interest in emerging developments in data and AI, as well as painting, golf, reading, and travel with family. Gopal holds an MBA from Boston University and a master’s degree in operations research and computer applications from India.
